An online culture and interest publication where people, media, products, and places live as one connected network: bidirectional relationships, endless archives, and an identity every visitor tunes to their own frequency.
Crosstown Vibes is an online culture and interest publication we built end to end: an editorial platform for electronic music culture where artist profiles, mixes, videos, gear, and the rooms where it all happens live as one connected network. Every person, track, product, and place on the site is structured content, cross-referenced in both directions, so a location page lists everyone who has played the room and an artist page points back to every space, mix, and product tied to it.
Project goals
A publication lives or dies on its archive. Most content sites bury their best work in a reverse-chronological feed; this build treats every entry as a node in a network, so each new profile, mix, or product makes the older ones easier to find. The site also had to publish fast, stay discoverable in search and AI answers, and carry an identity strong enough to feel like the culture it covers.

The technical approach
The site runs on Next.js, statically rendered with live content revalidation, so pages stay fast while edits go live in minutes. Sanity powers the structured content model, with every relationship stored bidirectionally in the Content Lake and edited visually in Studio. Tailwind drives a token-based design system: each visitor picks a signal color on first arrival, and that one variable retunes every component on the site. An interactive constellation renders the whole network in WebGL through a Three.js force graph, and locations plot through Mapbox.
